My duties included program development, fund development and facility improvement as well as overseeing the daily activities of the club. Director of Easter Seals Society- Hilo. (1993 - 1995). Duties included day to day operations, fwtd development, staff development, program development and day to day operations of the Hilo programs. Executive Director of the [1lliance for Health and Human Services- (1991 - 1990. Duties included: Fund development, program development, and day to day operations of the Alliance. As Director of the Alliance for Health and Human Services, 1 represented over 300 private non profit agencies at the Legislature, lobbying legislative priorities and fimdirg issues. I believe that my present and past experiences piovide a prospective that would be uselirl In completing the work that Ms. Loithead-Todd has begun. My experience it the legislative process at the county, state and federal levels provides a familiarity with the government process. My experience in the health and hun.an service sector provides a familiarity with cornnwnity needs and services. My experiences it the business sector provides a small business perspective that would allow a certain understanding the business concerns and development. My experiences in program development and firnd development also provides a certain familiarity of what it takes to get programs and services going. My coaching experiences provide a certain understanding of our young people and their issues and coneems. Finally, my experience of living in District #2 for nearly the past 20 years gives me a certain understanding of the needs and concerns of our community. This is by no means iptended to say that I pretend to have all, or even any of, the answers. It just is`presentcd to provide a picture ofthe broad range of experiences that have developed my personality and way of thinking and holrefully shows those empowered with filling this council position with my potential familiarity with numerous issues and processes.
