I was born and raised on the Big Island and I have resided in District II my whole life. I would consider it to be an honor and a privilege to represent my District as a council member. I am applying for this position primarily for three reasons: a) I have always believed that my purpose in life is to help people; now I want to concentrate on helping my district; b) I enjoyed my time as a public servant and I wish to return to government service; and c) I find this position challenging and refreshing. I can offer the council the following skills: communicative, analytical, and decision-making. I am a "people" person and I am very versatile. I am a leader and a follower, but above all, I am a team player. I view things from a practical and commonsensical approach, with a "dash of heart". I promise commitment and dedication to our community. I have enclosed my resume for your review. I hope to be able to speak to you face-to-face. Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter. Sincerely, 1.~~ ~ 1,~~~U~' Brenda L. Carreira Na i3, Ref. Ta ,~Qa,~ Ref. U~te el?r, BRENDA L.
