To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is in support of Margarita Hopkins to become a member of the Hawaii County
Council.
I'm writing this as a private citizen and not as an employee of the County of Hawaii,
although, Margarita and I have been colleagues in the County Department of Research
and Development the past 8 years.
During this time, I found Margarita to be hardworking and passionate about her job. Her
role as the Agriculture Economic Development Specialist came at a time when the Big
Island was going through a major transition from sugar to agricultural diversification.
Margarita's leadership has been key in bringing together government, business and
private citizens to be able to move forward with a constructive plan.
Margarita's tireless energy and determination has been evident in her accomplishments
with the County. Her qualifications would be an asset to the County Council and to our
Big Island community.
Mahalo for the opportunity to recommend Margarita Hopkins as a member of the Hawaii
County Council.
