The Hamakua Safety Council, at its meeting on s®ptember 9,
2003, discussed and supports the closure of Pakalana Street
in Honokaa from 7:OOam to 2:OOpm on school days.
Students and traffic are arriving earlier than in the past due
to a time change in school hours. The current sign should
be changed from 7:30am to 7:OOam to 2:pm for the continuefl
safety of the students at Honokaa High and Elementary Sehools.
Safety is our concern and the change should be done immediately.
