RESOLUTION NO. ~ 3~.0 03
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION AND USE OF PRIOR YEAR FUNDS
RESULTING FROM THE CANCELLATION OF A PURCHASE ORDER
WHEREAS, in the fiscal year ended June 30, 2003 the sum of $5,344 was encumbered in account number
010-500-5503.39-341 from funds duly appropriated in that fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, in the current fiscal year, purchase order number 22861 was canceled due to volunteers not being
able to complete a resurfacing project for the tennis courts at the Old Kona Airport, resulting in the formerly-encumbered
funds appearing in the unexpended allotment balance of the current year's budget status; and
WHEREAS, these funds will be used to purchase materials for other ongoing Friends of the Park projects for this
fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount(s) that appear in the unencumbered balance of the account(s) below be and is hereby appropriated as set
forth below:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is hereby directed and instructed to forward a
copy of this resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance be and is hereby authorized to allow the
expenditure of these funds in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
