Arakaki Chair RE: Resolution Relating the Land Use and New Century Charter Schools This is to transmit a resolution reaffirming the policy of homerule and requesting the administration to administer and enforce applicable county laws, including county land use laws as they apply to new century charter schools. This resolution is written following the complete discussion on Communication No. 348 that occurred at the meeting of the Committee on Planning on October 7, 2003. Because the discussion was comprehensive, the resolution has been drafted to reflect the principle of exercising county homerule authority and I am requesting it be waived from the Committee on Planning to the full Council. Thank you very much for your consideration. Att. /Zes. 1/k-G'3 Comm. No. Ref. To: R~tf, Date JAMES Y. ARAKAKI ~ AARON S.Y. CHUNG Chairman & Presiding ~cer " • LENINGRAD ELARIONOFF • ~ FRED C.
