SUBJECT: MARIJUANA ERADICATION MISSION FOR THE MONTH OF
SEPTEMBER 2003
The Hawaii Police Department conducted a marijuana eradication mission on
September 22-25, 2003, in East Hawaii.
As required by Resolution No. 46-01, reports indicating the number of plants eradicated
and the number of complaints received from the public, the type of complaint and the
complaint disposition are attached.

Harvested Marijuana in three different plots, came down to lower heights after confirmation and in
order to insert men to harvest Marijuana.

Two helicopters flying at about 500' in height. One is military, the other is red, black, and white. They
were flying in the area about 5 to 15 minutes. Caller is a 100% disabled veteran with PTSD and said
the helicopters shake the house. He said they are searching a lot and circle about 15-20 times.
Caller's house is grey with a white roof.

Reason for Being in Area:
Observer had received information relative to a house cultivating Marijuana. Observer indicates he
was in excess of 1,000 feet and did not see Marijuana and departed the area after circling a few times.
Time in Area: 5 Minutes
Immediate Action Taken:

None, call not picked up until helicopter had left the area.
Comments:
Caller was very upset upon being contacted and I apologized for the inconvenience. Caller indicated
that if we think caller is growing Marijuana then we are more than welcome to search caller's property
and adjoining properties and that the lots are only 1/2 an acre in size. Caller later apologized for
getting upset with me on the phone.
