SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
WAIANUENUE AVENUE
PARKING PROHIBITED DURING CERTAIN HOURS
We received a request to provide additional driveway sight distance along the Puna side of Waianuenue
Avenue between the Hilo Terrace Apartments and Takata Dental Health Center. Rather than eliminating
the seven (7) marked parking stalls; we propose to extend the cutrent parking prohibition hours from 7:15
a.m. to 8:00 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on school days. This option will restrict parking during normal
business hours when driveway usage is at its highest and restore parking for citizens when the prohibition
is not in effect.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment. Should you have any
