From Director of Public Works Bruce McClure, dated October 13, 2003, transmitting the subject bill. The traffic signal and intersection improvements were completed on June 5, 2002. Comm. 384: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING "I'HE GRANT OF EASEMENT FOR (Res. ] 20-03) UNDERGROUND FIBER OPTIC CONDUI7~S WITHIN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII RIGHTS-OF-WAY (to Sandwich Isles Communication, Inc., for its project to provide Department of Hawaiian Home Lands properties with modern high-speed fiber optic cable service). From Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase, dated October 14, 2003, requesting the Council's approval of the above resolution. The company has received a Public Utilities Commission Certiticate of Authority, and the PWIRC-15 Page 2 November 4, 2003 project has been undertaken through private funding and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's rural utility service program. Comm. 388: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAI'1 (Bill 172) COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION) RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC (by amending Item (22) parking prohibited between 7:15 a.m.-8:00 a.m. on school days on Waianuenue Avenue from "both sides" to "Hamakua side" and by extending the current parking prohibition hours from 7:15 a.m.-8:00 a.m. to 7:15 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on school days on Waianuenue Avenue (Puna side) between the Hilo "Terrace Apartments and Takata Dental Health Center) From Director of Public Works Bruce McClure, dated October U, 2003. transmitting the subject bill.
