We wish to testify on behalf ofthe Ainaloa Community Association Staffand Board of Directors
regarding Wai Ola Public Charter School. They have been based here since September 2°a, with
approximately one hundred and thirty students. Alt ofthe students are here only in the morning and
afternoon for the opening and closing of school and planning for the days activities. The students
then depart in small groups for various excursions and learning trips. The students are transported
by two large school buses for their trips and are also delivered to and from the school by these buses.
Only about ten parents drive in and drop their children off. The school is well organized and with
enough teachers to provide adequate supervision for the students at all times. While children will be
children the school moves very rapidly to resolve problems and make changes For a smoother
operation. The school environment is characterized by Aloha and desire for all students to work
conscientiously towards one school working in lokahi-unity with harmony.
Wai Ola Charter school has NOT created any undesirable situations that have impaled our
neighbors or visitors to our center. In fal, we have had many compliments on the school children
from our residents. The}? follow all rules and regulations set by our Association and to our
knowledge that are set by the County for the students health and safety. It has been a pleasure
working with the teachers and staffand of course all the wonderful children with smiling faces.
