ORDINANCE NO. 03 13~
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAI'1 COUNTY CODE
1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 3, section 24-275,
schedule 23 (Bus stop locations), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii
County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended by adding the following to be
appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
u Kilauea Avenue, west side, beginning from a point three hundred
eighty-three feet south of Kawailani Street and extending one
hundred forty-eight feet in the southerly direction.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 4, section 24-276,
schedule 24 (Crosswalks), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code
1983 (1995 edition), is amended by deleting the following:
[(9) Kilauea Avenue, in front of Waiakeawaena School.]
SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 10, division 6, section 24-287,
schedule 35 (Passenger loading zones), subsection (c) South Hilo, item (7), of
the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended to read as follows:
(7) Kilauea Avenue, mauka side, from a point [three hundred
eighty-three feet Puna] five hundred thirty-one feet south of
Kawailani Street and extending [two hundred thirty-five]
eighty-seven feet in the [Puna] southerly direction from [7:15 a.m.
to 8:00 a.m.] 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to
[3:00 p.m.] 2:30 p.m. on school days.
SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is
underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and
underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 5. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect
other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect
without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
