Tirrell, President, Kamehameha Investment Corporation, dated October 17, 1993, transmitting their annual report as to the progress of development activities, in accordance with the requirements of Ordinance No. 820, the rezoning granted on September 8, 1982. Bill 4: Amends the State Land Use Boundaries Map, H-7 for the (C-17) County of Hawaii by changing the district classification from the Agricultural to the Urban District at Hienaloli 4th, North Kona, covered by TMK: 7-5-10:POrtion of 62. (Applicant: Maryl Development, Inc.) (Approximately (C-17) 13.534 acres) (Cont'd) Intr. by: Mr. Domingo 1st Reading: 09/22/93 (Council referred Bill 5, Draft 4, back to PC - 10/13/93) Comm. 17.35: From Arlie and Jean Bass, dated October 13, 1993, stating that they do not oppose Maryl Development but do oppose 20' wide streets. States, in lieu of money to the County for a park, that it should instead be spent to make streets wide enough for dedication to the County. Comm. 17.36: From Charles and Carol Allen, dated October 13, 1993, stating that they are in favor of Maryl Development's project. Further, advises that Ginger Towle does not represent them and, they believe, the majority of residents in Kona Heights. Comm. 17.37: Copy of letter to Glenn Sutow, from Ginger Towle, Kona Heights Property Owners' Association, dated October 10, 1993, informing that he no longer represents Kona Heights in any way and that the original Task Force for Kailua View Estates and Kona Heights, regarding the Maryl Development, next to Kona Heights, is now dissolved. Further informs that Kona Heights has established a permanent committee to handle questions, policies and opinions regarding future development in this area. Comm. 17.38: Copy of letter to Ginger Towle, Kona Heights Property Owners Association, from Glenn Sutow and Denise Jernigan, Kailua View Estates, dated October 11, 1993, stating that the original task force, representing Kailua View Estates and Kona Heights, is still in existence and very active in supporting the proposed ordinance (Maryl Development) regarding traffic volume standards on residential streets. Comm. 17.39: From Lin McIntosh, The McIntosh Companies, dated October 14, 1993, responding to Ginger Towle's letter to the Editor of West Hawaii Today asking to share their opinions of the Maryl development, adjacent to Kona Heights, with members of the Council. States her concerns on the park issue, as listed.
