"This is to transmit Bil( 165, Drafr 2, which was the result of the following amendment proposed
by Council Member Tyler made to Condition of the above-described bill at the Council's
meeting of November 19, 2003:
"To allow for future vehicular and pedestrian access and circulation, [T]the subdivision
goads] shall have at least one road connection to the northern, southern, and eastern
boundaries of the subject property [to the adjoining properties and at least one connection
to the south that will allow access from properties on that side meeting with the approval
of the Department of Public Works]. [The] These roads shall be constructed [in a manner
specified by the Department of Public Works] to County dedicable standards and shall
be [on an alignment] alined in a manner meeting with the approval of the Planning
Director in Consultation with the Department of Public Works, except that the northern
alignment shall be at a location where it allows for a future connection to the mauka
extension of Hi`olani Street.
The purpose of the changes were to clarify and specify future roadway connection to the north
with Hi'olani Street and assure that roads will be built to county dedicable standards.
