Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes §92-41, notice is hereby given that the Hawaii County Council's
Committee on Planning will be holding a workshop on Bill No. 163 (Comm. 493), relating to the revision of the
Hawaii County General Plan.
I~he workshop will consist of a presentation conducted by the Planning Department about proposed General
Plan and Land Use Pattern Allocation Guide (LUPAG) map amendments conducted by the Planning
Department and a question and answer session.
As required by the Hawaii County Charter, the County Council adopts a General Plan which sets forth policies
for long range physical development for the C ounty. Elements of the Hawaii County General {'Ian, last
adopted in 1989, include: Economic, Energy. Em~ironmental Quality, Flooding. Historic Sites, Natural Beauty.
Natural Resources and Shoreline, Housing, Public Facilities, Public Utilities, Recreation. Transportation, Land
Use. Facilities Maps. Land Usc Pattern Allocation Guide Map; plan Implementation and Amendment
Procedures.
Copies of Bill No. 163 and supporting documents are available upon request or for review at the County Clerk's
