Grant Period (Commencement & Completion): July 1, 2002 to June 30, 2003
Goals: To improve customer service, increase efficiency and effectiveness of office operations and to
have esteemed and respected employees.
Objectives: To collect child support debts owed to the State of Hawaii and custodial parents, improve staff
productivity on the KEIKI system, and work with Circuit and Family Court to reduce the time
spent on processing cases.
Outcomes or Results: The Division acquired an auto attendanUvoice mail telephone system. The
acquisition of the equipment has greatly lessened the time the staff devotes to
answering and taking telephone messages. The time saved in lessening this
task has been directed towards increasing processing of paternity cases and
collection of child support payments during period July 1, 2002 to June 30, 2003.
