Re: BILL No. 187, Draft 2
We request that you replace Bill No. 187 with the enclosed Draft 2 of this same bill.
Draft 2 of Bill No. 187 contains five minor changes. The first two changes are housekeeping
changes to correct obsolete language. The first paragraph of §24-17 is updated to reflect the
current practice of staggered registration deadlines. §24-17(b)(2)(C) is amended to reflect
the increased fees approved in Ordinance 02-90.
Changes are made to the new language in §24-17fd~ to clarify that the exemption only
applies to County weight tax and to add a Veterans Administration certification requirement.
That requirement is also added to §24-19~).
