Curtis Tyler, III, Vice-Chair <br /> i <br /> RE: Resolution 124-03, Draft 3 <br /> Afrer reviewing Resolution 124-03, Draft 2, and pursuant to Ordinance No. 03-148, <br /> relating to gifts and donations, I feel that there is a need to include language establishing <br /> that acceptance of the Kea`au Community Center as donated real property is in the public <br /> interest. Whereas clause number three establishes that the center has been used by the <br /> public for at least twenty years; and the fourth whereas clause establishes that plans and <br /> funding for continued use of the center in the future are in place. <br /> I would suggest clarifying language in a new whereas clause to be inserted afrer clause <br /> number four: <br /> Whereas the Kea`au Community Center has served the public interest for at least <br /> twenty years and the Council finds that acceptance of the subject real property is in the <br /> public interest; and <br /> Comm.
