RE: Resolution 124-03, Draft 3
Afrer reviewing Resolution 124-03, Draft 2, and pursuant to Ordinance No. 03-148,
relating to gifts and donations, I feel that there is a need to include language establishing
that acceptance of the Kea`au Community Center as donated real property is in the public
interest. Whereas clause number three establishes that the center has been used by the
public for at least twenty years; and the fourth whereas clause establishes that plans and
funding for continued use of the center in the future are in place.
I would suggest clarifying language in a new whereas clause to be inserted afrer clause
number four:
Whereas the Kea`au Community Center has served the public interest for at least
twenty years and the Council finds that acceptance of the subject real property is in the
public interest; and
