ROJECT/PROGRAM NAME: Microwave Relocation and Svstem Renovation

ROJECT/PROGRAM DESCR/PT/ON:
Replace existing analog 2 ghz microwave system to a modern 6 ghz digital system that will support future migration to a trunked system. The County requires replacement of the
existing microwave system utilized to transport emergency and public safety circuits on an island-wide basis. The project involves construction of new towers and
facilities,
engineering supply and installation of new equipment and cut-over of the existing circuits to the new system.
ROJECT/PROGRAM JUST/F/CAT/ON:
Replacement of the microwave system is absolutely necessary for the County's long term objectives ojproviding reliable public safety services. The Federal Government has mandated
migration off of the existing 2 ghz system.
