Arakaki - Council Chair ~ _ ~ RE: Bill 183 (Draft 2) During its discussion and as a result of discussion held on Bill No. 183, the following amendments were made for housekeeping purposes: Section 2- .Funding. The Disaster and Emergency Fund shall be funded each fiscal year by the council appropriating a minimum of $100,000 to a maximum of $500,000 per year until the Fund has accumulated a maximum of $5,000,000 [at the time of appropriation]. Section 2- .Expenditures from the Disaster and Emergency Fund. ( c) To provide immediate response for services [for] to deal with public health and safety risks due to a natural or man-caused disaster or emergency in the form of personnel, equipment, materials, supplies, and service contracts. (d) To match federal, state, and/or private grants-in-aid to develop or [bring back] restore public property to a safe and useable condition Section 2- .Dissolution of the fund. The Disaster and Emergency fund shall not be dissolved unless such dissolution is approved by [the unanimous] atwo-third vote of the County Council.
