Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have appointed Mr. Amos D. Meyers, Jr., to
the County of Hawaii Committee on Aging. Mr. Meyers, of Council District 6 is a
3-year resident of Hawaii. He is a former educator from Pennsylvania and is
currently retired, residing in Volcano. Mr. Meyers currently serves as member of
the Kau Soil and Water Conservation District and is a member of the Puna
Mauka-Partners in Eldercare.
Mr. Meyers states that he is a member of the Republican Party. He will serve a
term co-terminus with my term (December 2004).
