Dear Councilman Arakaki;
This is in regazd to the upcoming meeting of the County Council scheduled to address the
following issue:
Applicant: Nani Kona Aina, LLC (SLU 03-007/REZO3-o18)
a. State Land Use Boundary Amendment for 14.53 acres from the
Agricultural to the Urban District
b. Change of Zone for 14.53 acres from the Agricultural 5-acre (A-Sa) to
the Single Family Residential - 10,000 squaze foot (RS-10) district.
As homeowners in both Kona Heights and Kailua View Estates, directly to the south of the
proposed development, we aze opposed to the rezoning as planned. The addition of 43 new homes
and the conservatively-estimated 86 more vehicles will create a burden on the existing
infrastructure in these neighborhoods.
We request that the meeting regazding this issue be held in Kona so that more of the people directly
impacted by its outcome may attend and testify. Please take this request into consideration.
