Stale Land Use Boundary Amendment for 14.53 acres from the Agricultural to the Urban
District
Zone Change for 14.53 acres from the Agricultural 5-acre (A-Sa) to the Single Family
Residential - 10,000 square foot (RS-10) District
Deaz Councilman Tyler:
The Planning Commission's November 7th denial recommendation for the Nani Kona Aina, LLC
requests was welcome news.
The specific issues concerning the residents of Kona Heigh[s/Kailua View Estates include a traffic
impasse, strains on community infrastructure, and impacts to the environment and protected wildlife.
It is in the best interests of the affected residents to have access to the meeting when the Planning
Committee considers [he denial recommendation I respectfirlly request that any meeting of County
Council members (inconsideration of [he Nani Kona Aina, LLC requests for a land use boundary
amendment and a zone change) be deferred until it can be held in Kona, where residents have reasonable
access to have [heir concerns heazd.
I seazched the County website and the posted Agenda for the next Count} Council meeting, but found no
reference to Nani Kona Aina, LLC or current information available referring [o Planning Committee
scheduled meetings or agendas. It would be helpful to know in advance when and where next meeting
for the Naru Kona Aina, LLC requests and denial recommendation will be held.
I look fornazd to any information you have available regarding the request for a local hearing, as welt as
any other information you may consider helpful.
Best wishes,
Barbara Scott
