Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a donation of two (2) basketball backboards for the
Pa'auilo Gym. This donation is being made by the Nakahara family, c/o Scott
Nakahara, DDS, P.O. Box 235, Honoka'a, Hawaii 96727 to the Department of Parks
and Recreation in the name of Thomas Nakahara. The total estimated value of this
donation is $1,518.00.

With the Council's authorization, the Nakahara family would like to donate two (2)
basketball backboards to the Paauilo County Gym in the name of Thomas Nakahara.
After consulting the Parks and Recreation Athletic Coordinator for the Paauilo Gym,
Mason Souza, we are looking at the Bison Conversion Glass Backboazd sold in the BSN
sports catalog, #BS-5155. A copy of the catalog page is enclosed.
If allowed to bestow this donation, we request the County provide the personnel for the
installation.
