Re: O'oma rezoning/SMA (Cliftos' Rona Coast}
Aloha, Council members:
I'd like to suggest that council. members visit the O'oma II site
prior +_o the public hearing on 1'riday, January 23rd in Knnw_ III
this ca:ae, spending about fi.fteEn minutes on the highway frontage
of the property will give membe~•s an appreciation of what the
potential impacts of Cliftos' pi'opor>a2 are.
The "be:;t" time for that visit would be between 3:00 and 4:OOpm
(if it's not possible to come oc~ a different day, then either the
day before the hearing or possibly between t:he regular council
meeting anal the public hearing* on Friday would. be good).
Nothing can give a person an idE,a o£ what a place and situation is .
like better than experiencing it. for themselves. I'm sure the
community members attending the hear:i_ng wi].] want to know that you
have some first-hand knowledge c,f the impact of this proposal on
their hives.
I'~9 appreciate hearing back from you on this matter and look
forward to seeing you at the Kea.uhou hearing.
