HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 2003-168 2002-2004 COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII BILL NO. 172 ORDINANCE NO. 03 i68 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION) RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-281, schedule 29 (parking prohibited during certain hours on certain streets; tow-away zone), subsection (c) South Hilo, item (22), of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended to read as follows: (22) Waianuenue Avenue, [both sides,] Hamakua side. from two hundred forty feet makai of Laimana Street to Kapi'olani Street, between the hours of 7:15 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on school days. SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-281, schedule 29 (parking prohibited during certain hours on certain streets; two-away zone), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is further amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: ~ Waianuenue Avenue. Puna side. from four hundred five feet makai of Laimana Street and extending one hundred fifty eight feet towards Kaoi'olani Street between the hours of 7:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on school days. Waianuenue Avenue Puna side. from one hundred feet makai of Laimana Street and extending one hundred sixty four feet in the makai direction between the hours of 7:15 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on school davs. SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
