SUBJECT: MARIJUANA ERADICATION MISSION FOR THE MONTH OF
DECEMBER 2003
The Hawaii Police Department conducted a marijuana eradication mission on
December 15-17, 2003, in East Hawaii.
As required by Resolution No. 46-01, reports indicating the number of plants eradicated
and the number of complaints received from the public, the type of complaint and the
complaint disposition are attached.

Location: 16th Ave., Hawaiian Paradise Park S/D (Bet. Paradise Dr. and Makuu Dr.)
Complaint:
Caller reported helicopter flying almost upside down over her swimming pool which is located adjacent
to caller's residence. Caller stated it was possible helicopter was looking at vacant lots with brush near
caller's or possibly at small podocarpus plants within caller's wheelbarrow. Caller was upset that
helicopter needed to spin around 3 times.

Reason for Being in Area:
Helicopter was transitioning from coastline towards Fern Acres over HPP subdivision due to poor
weather in Keaau.
Time in Area: 5 minutes No. of Plants Recovered: None
Immediate Action Taken:
Spotter related they were flying from one point to another when contacted via radio.
Comments:
Caller indicated at being annoyed because caller was with a sick child.
