Change of Zone Application (REZ 03-025)
Applicant: Lehua Lani, LLC
Request: A-SatoRS-7.5
Tax Map Key: 7-5-20:71 and 72
The Department of Public Works is recommending that proposed Condition E of the above-
captioned change of zone application recently transmitted to the County Council for
consideration be amended to read as follows:
E. A [~-feeE] 10-foot future road widening strip along the length of Alii Drive shall
be dedicated to the County prior to receipt of final subdivision approval.
The reason for the increase from five to ten feet is to accommodate the utility poles within the
Alii Drive right-of--way. The 10-foot future road widening strip will increase the current Alii
Drive right-of--way width from fifty to sixty feet. We concur with the recommendation of the
Department of Public Works in increasing the existing right-of--way width to ten additional feet.
