TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII VETERANS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
From Mayor Harry Kim, dated January 7, 2004, submitting, for confirmation
the following nominations to the County of Hawaii Veterans Advisory
Committee.
Mr. Peter J. Callahan of North Kona is a six-year resident of Hawaii and
serves as the Post Commander for the American Legion Kona Post 20. He
also serves as a volunteer chaplain at the Kona Community Hospital. Not
affiliated with any political party. if confirmed, he will be replacing Mr. Keith
Burley and will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2008.
Mr. Richard Highley of South Kona is atwenty-one year resident of
Hawaii and is very active in veterans affairs and has served on many of their
organizations. such as the Disabled Americans Veterans, Veterans of Foreign
Wars, Military Order of the purple Heart and Veterans Administration
Volunteer. Not affiliated with any political party, if confirmed. he will scive a
term to expire on December 31, 2004.
