Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Ms. Claudia L. Woodward-Rice of Council District 1
to the County of Hawaii Tax Board of Review. Ms. Woodward-Rice has been a
Hawaii resident for over 14 years, and is aself-employed bookkeeper/consultant.
She is a past vice president of the Honomu Village Association, past chair and
member of the Advisory Board for the Honomu Computer Resource Center,
member of the Big Island Sustainable Communities Association and also has
served with Recycle Hawaii. Ms. Woodward-Rice states that she is not affiliated
with any political party. If confirmed she will serve a term to end on
December 31, 2008, replacing Mr. Fred Yamashiro whose term expired on
December 31, 2003.
