For your information, Kaomalo LLC is a joint venture between Parker Ranch, Inc. and Schuler Homes. The improvement to Kaomoloa StreeUMalamaloa Highway intersection was required pursuant to condition M(1)c or Ordinance No. 96-117, which states in part: Should the County require improvements at the intersection of Kaomoloa Street and Mamalahoa Highway, the costs of these additional off site road and/or intersection improvements shall be credited against the applicants fair share contribution of the road assessment required in Condition H herein. In accordance with this condition, Parker Ranch is requesting that the improvement cost for the intersection of $197,932+tree trimming be credited against the Parker Ranch 2020 project's fair share requirement as provided in Condition H or Ordinance No. 96-117. The total project costs included the following: Payment to KKCC for intersection improvements: $197,932 Payment to Tree Works for Tree Trimming: $2.100 Total Intersection Improvements: $200,032 In support of this request, please find attached Keauhou Kona Construction Company's "Application and Certificate for Payment" for the construction work for the intersection improvements as well as the Final Cost Breakdown indicating that a total of $197,932 was paid Christopher J. Yuen 12/17/2003 Page No. 2 to them for the intersection improvements. Please note that KKCC's total contract was for $356,421.19, which included $158,489 for sewer improvements in addition to the intersection work. Also attached is the invoice for the tree trimming work that was required by the County in the amount of $2,100. Your timely consideration of this request is greatly appreciated.
