The FFY 04 NSIP grant awazd is based on Hawaii's percentage of FFY 02 meals served nationwide by other states and Indian Tribal Organizations. Hawaii's final FFY 04 award will be based on FFY 03 meal counts each state will be submitting at a later date. Please continue to monitor your meal counts, so Hawaii can at least maintain its percent of meals served nationwide. Should our percent of meals served decrease, so too will our annual award. The partial NSIP grant award of $128,146 will be distributed among the four counties, based on each county's percentage of meals reported for FFY 03 from October 1, 2002 to September 30, 2003. The following table presents by county the number of congregate and home delivered meals reported during FFY 03, the corresponding percentage of total meals served in Hawaii, and the First Quarter grant award.
