SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
KALOKO DRIVE, REVISED 35 MPH SPEED LIMIT SCHEDULE
The Traffic Division was informed that a Kaloko Drive area resident requested to have the posted speed
along Kaloko Drive reduced from 40 MPH to 35 MPH due to excessive speeding.
After consulting with the Engineering Division, performing a design speed check, and doing a site
investigation, it was determined that lowering the speed to 35 MPH would be advisable. The intention is to
change the posted speed along the entire length of Kaloko Drive to 35 MPH, and to sign the road
accordingly. Additionally, advisory speed plates will be installed at the horizontal curves, and "Limited
Sight Distance" signs with advisory speed plates will be placed at several strategic locations along the road.
The Traffic Division request that the subject amendment be considered for adoption. Should you have
