My name is Roy Shipman Blackshear. I am Chairman of the Board
of Directors of W. H. Shipman, Limited. I am a long-time resident of
Hawaii Island having been born in Hilo in 1923. Our company supports
the efforts the Hawaii Police Dept. is doing to eradicate marijuana on this
Island. During the past few years the Police have entered our property
several times to eradicate patches of marijuana planted by unknown
persons.
Our company would like to see the Police Dept. receive the
necessary funding so that they can continue their fine work to eventually
rid this Island of marijuana. So 1 urge you to accept and approve
Resolutions #94 and #116.
Thank you for giving me this opportunity to come before you today.
