SUBJECT: Approval of a Resolution Authorizing the Mayor or his
Duly Authorized Representative to Negotiate and to
Execute Necessary Documents with Westpro Development,
Inc. to Satisfy Condition "M" of Ordinance No. 98-66.
Hawaii County Housing Agency Resolution No. 135 was reviewed and
approved at its meeting on February 18, 2004, in which Westpro
Development, Inc. be required to build and sell five (5)
affordable housing units incrementally. The vote went as
follows:
AYES: J. Arakaki, L. Elarionoff, B. Jacobson,
J. Reynolds, M. Tulang, J. Tyler,
G. Safarik - 7
NOES: None
ABSENT AND EXCUSED: A. Chung, F. Holschuh - 2
The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) submitted
a Resolution Authorizing the Mayor or his Duly Authorized
Representative to Negotiate and to Execute Necessary Documents
with Westpro Development, Inc. to Incrementally Satisfy
Condition "M" of Ordinance No. 98-66.
Accordingly, I am requesting that this resolution be included on
the Council agenda for action at its March 5, 2004, meeting.
