Home My WebLink AboutRES 164 Draft 01 2002-2004 COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 1_G4 04 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF LIQUOR CONTROL'S KONA OFFICE WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease, or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year and more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control's current Kona Office has only 1,050 square feet of space that includes two offices, one conference room, one coffee room and lobby area; and WHEREAS, commission and board meetings, examinations, and training sessions are held in their non-ADA compliant conference room, which seats only 15 and is too small for their current needs; and WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into a five (5) year lease through the Inoue Hawaii Realty Corporation for the 2,374 square feet of office space located at the Kona Center, 75-5722 Hanama Place, Kailua-Kona; at an approximate cost of $4,946 per month, which includes common area maintenance and taxes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into amulti-year lease agreement for office space for the Department of Liquor Control. 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the lease agreement.
