It is my pleasure to inform you that I have appointed Ms. Mary G. Hyslop of
Council District 5, to the County of Hawaii Family Violence Advisory Commission.
Ms. Hyslop is a 10-year resident of Hawaii and is a Program Director for the
YMCA Neighborhood Place of Puna. She is a state representative to
TITLE IV-B, a member of DVIAT and the East Hawaii Coalition Against Child
Abuse, and the secretary for Malama Ho'opili Pono Consortium. She states that
she is not affiliated with any political party, and will serve a term co-terminus to
my own. Ms. Hyslop will replace Ms. Emily Naeole, who has resigned.
