From Human Services & Economic Development Committee (HS&EDC) Chairman
Fred C. Holschuh, M.D., informing that the above presentation will be held at the
March 4, 2004 HS&EDC meeting. 'fhe IRP process is for determining a utility's
long-range (20-year) plan for energy efficiency and conservation programs, as well
as existing and new electricity generating facilities. IRP is the electric utility's
version of the County's General Plan, and is required of each energy utility in the
State of Hawaii to systematically and thoroughly develop long-range plans for
meeting Hawai`i's future energy needs.
