Re: Res. 166 -04, Comm. 544 COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 1~6 0~~ RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF REAL PROPERTY FROM RONALD ELLIS ROUGHEN, TAX MAP KEY:(3)9-6-018-010. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: WHEREAS, RONALD ELLIS ROUGHEN is the owner of real property in Pa'au'au, Ka'u, Hawaii, specifically Tax Map Key:(3)9-6-018-010, consisting an area of .010 acre, delineated on Exhibit "A" attached hereto ;and WHEREAS, the subject real property is presently part of Pikake Street and Pakalana Street in Pahala Village; and WHEREAS, Ronald Ellis Houchen has graciously donated this property to clear title to the County of Hawaii as an addition to the Pikake Street and Pakalana Street right-of-way; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County of Hawaii, may accept gifts or donations of real property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii accepts the donation of real property, identified as Tax Map Key:(3)9-6-018-010, consisting of 0.010 acre, from Ronald Ellis Houchen, and said donation be made a part of the Pikake Street and Pakalana Street right-of-way. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Ronald Ellis Houchen. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to (1) the Honorable Harry Kim, Mayor of the County of Hawai'I; (2) William Takaba, Director of Finance; (3) Bruce McClure, Director of Public Works; (4) Ronald Ellis Houchen, P.
