RESOLU'T'ION NO. ~ 0~
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF 500 TO THE
HAWAII COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Staff and Management of Kona Coast Resort has donated $500 t the Hawaii County
Police Department's Special Response Team, in recognition of the team being an outstan ing partner in the
community; and
WHEREAS, Article XII1, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department recommends the acceptance o this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, DE IT RESOLVED 13Y THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY O HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council oft a County of Hawaii
accepts the $500.
DE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolu ion be sent to Mr.
Craig A. Leeper, C.H.A., General Manager, Kona Coast Resort, 78-6842 Alii Drive, Kailua Kona, Hawaii
96740, acknowledging this generous donation.
