(Res. I65-04) DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGF,MENT WASTEWATER
DIVISION
From Finance Director William Takaba, dated February 23, 2004, transmitting the
above resolution. This position is needed to improve management of the
administration duties as well as facilitate a reorganization plan of duties for more
efficient operations and effective use of resources of the Wastewater Division. Along
with assisting the Division Chief with administration duties, this position will be
responsible for the activities of the Wastewater capital improvement and equipment
replacement programs. There are sufficient funds in the Sewer Fund to cover the
cost of this position.
Comm. 543: DONATION OF PAINTING SUPPLIES (ESTIMATED TOTAL VALUE OF
$586.57) TO THF. HAWAI`1 COUNTY POL[CF. DEPARTMENT BY KUBO'S

resolution and bill. The United States Department of Health and Human Services'
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), through
its Center for Substance Abuse Treannent (CSAT), has authorized the above grant to
the County of Hawaii. These funds will be used to establish an adolescent treatment
center on the Island of Hawaii aimed at preventing crystal methamphetamine use on
this island.
