SUBJECT: Resolution for the Hawaii Cou ty Council
Keonelehua Heights Affordable Housing Project
The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) has
submitted to the Hawaii County Housing Agency (HCHA) a
resolution authorizing the exemption of the proposed Keonelehua
Heights Subdivision project from certain land use requirements.
The HCHA has reviewed and approved the resolution at its meeting
of May 19, 1997. Accordingly, I am requesting that the
resolution be included on the Council agenda for action at its
June 2, 1997, meeting.

Res . 100-97: Execution of agreement with Hawaii Island
Community Development Corporation
Res. 101-97: Zoning, Subdivision and Roadway Code
exemptions
The Hawaii County Council at its meeting held Monday,
June 2, 1997, approved the above-mentioned reLplutions,
allowing the exemption of Zoning Code requirements for the
Hualalai Elderly Low Income Housing Tax Credit Rental
Housing Project, and allowing the exemption of certain
Zoning, Subdivision and Roadway Codes for the proposed
Keonelehua Heights Affordable Housing Project. Ths Council
also authorized the Mayor to execute an agreement with the
Hawaii Island Community Development Corporation for the
development of the Hualalai Elderly Low Income Housing Tax
Credit Rental Housing Project. These matters were referred
to the full Council from the Housing Agency with the
reco ,uendation for approval.
