SUBJECT: Resolution for the Hawaii County Council
Hualalai Elderly Low Income Housing Tax Credit Rental
Housing Project
The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) has
submitted to the Hawaii County Housing Agency (HCHA) a
resolution authorizing the exemption of certain zoning code
requirements, pursuant to Chapters 201E-201 and 201E-210 of the
Hawaii Revised Statutes, for the project mentioned above.
The HCHA has reviewed and approved the resolution at its meeting
of May 19, 1997. Accordingly, I am requesting that the
resolution be included on the Council agenda for action at its
June 2, 1997, meeting.

SUBJ: Res . 99-97: Zoning Code exemptions
Res. 100-97: Execution of agreement with Hawaii Island

Res . 101-97: Zoning, Subdivision and Roadway Code
exemptions
The Hawaii County Council at its meeting held Monday,
June 2, 1997, approved the above-mentioned resolutions,
allowing the exemption of Zoning Code requirements for the
Hualalai Elderly Low Income Housing Tax Credit Rental
Housing Project, and allowing the exemption of certain
Zoning, Subdivision and Roadway Codes for the proposed
Keonelehua Heights Affordable Housing Project. The Council
also authorized the Mayor to execute an agreement with the
Hawaii Island Community Development Corporation for the
development of the Hualalai Elderly Low Income Housing Tax
Credit Rental Housing Project. These matters were referred
to the full Council from the Housing Agency with the
reco ,iendation for approval.
