RE: BILL No. 231 "SCENIC CORRIDORS"
Deaz Councilman Elarionoff.
I am writing on behalf of Na Leo Pohai, the public policy azm of The Outdoor Circle and
the board of directors, staff and membership of Kona Outdoor Circle to encourage the
passage of Bill 231 establishing a Scenic Corridor Program compatible with the National
Scenic Byways Program.
The landscapes found on the island of Hawai' i ue unique and eternal, yet fragile.
Beautiful scenic vistas aze the foundation upon which so much of our island's future
prosperity, well-being, and identity aze based. To safeguard these natural wonder, direct
and immediate action needs to be taken in the passage of this bill.
Please bring into law the Scenic Corridors Programs to legitimate the preservation of
beauty.
