As residents of Kaleko Mauka subdivision, we strongly disagree with this proposal. We would prefer to see signage that address the dangerous curves and advise to s?; ~r in these areas, as well as the 3 Fiau Street intergeetions. Becattsc of the steep grade in several places, the momentum needed to climb is exactly right with the current speed limit. The problems we have here are not particularly the residents, but the intruders and teenagers that speed around at inappropriate times -especially late at ttigltt and on week ends. Those of us living here and going up and down , know the roads and the speed limits, It would be a shame to catch and ticket the residents, who pay big land tax dollars, going to work or elsewhere during the daylight times, end ignore the real problem of the speeding intruders. Don't punish those who live here because of excessive speeding of others. Tn light of the shortage of officers statFed to police our area, we also wonder how this proposed speed limit would be enforced. Thank you for the opportunity to express our opinion. Sincerely, L~~L~~.~t~cssenger Jam~`e~s^'M~e's°senger • A n V C.t~ , V 1~-''~- Comm. No. S~ •3 Ref. TO: W Ref. Date 1 5 2nne
