RE: Bill 231 Relating to Scenic Corridors
Per the action taken at yesterdays Planning Committee meeting regarding the above legislation, I
am forwarding the following document for your written comment and clazification:
1. Letter dated March 4, 2004 from the Office Legislative Auditor outlining specific
questions and recommendations in relation to Bi11231.
The committee also requested that the Planning Director comment on this matter. A copy of the
letter requesting such is attached for your records.
In addition, to your response and comment by the Planning Department, it maybe helpful for
Councilmembers if a workshop was also held. It appears that, at the least, further clarification of
the Federal Program is needed. As the introducer of this legislation, pursing a workshop will be
left to your discretion.
