T1QUI OF COUNCIL DISTRICT 7 TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`1 COMMITTEE ON AGING Erom Mayor harry Kim, dated March 11, 2004, informing that he has appointed Ms. Rowena L. Tiqui to the County of Hawaii Committee on Aging. Ms. Tiqui is a 57-year resident of Hawaii and currently serves as the Executive Director for the Kona Adult Day Center. Not attiliated with any political party, she will serve a term co-terminus with the Mayor's. Note: Tlris appointment does not require Council confirmation. P&EMC-18 Page 2 April 6, 2004 Comm. 566: AN ORDWANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21, OF TFIE HAWAII (Bill 250) COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING'f0 SEWF,R CONNECTION REQUIREMENTS (by deleting provisions that allow exceptions to the connection requirements for lots accessible to a sewer and establishes a process for requesting avariance/exemption to the connection requirements) From Barbara Belh Director, Department of Environmental Management, dated March 23, 2004, transmitting the above bill, which would bring the County into compliance with Section 11-62-06(b), Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR) that states "All building(s) generating wastewater and located within or near proximity of an available sewer system as determined by the director [of health], shall connect to the public sewer." Transmits copy of a July 2, 2002, letter to Mayor Harry Kim from the Environmental Management Commission, informing of their approval of the ordinance bill at its May 22, 2002 meeting. Also transmits copy of a .Iuly 2, 2002, letter to the Council from then Acting Director Galen M. Kuba, transmitting the subject ordinance bill.
