Re: Acceptance of Donations ? ~
In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, which authorizes
the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal property, and with
(2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawaii County Code, which states that any
donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the department of finance
shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval, we request the Council's approval of the
following donation:
Monetary donations of $25 and $30 to the Department of Parks 8r Recreation, for programs
at the Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo, made in memory of Mr. Bernard Schwab, by Patrick 8
Patricia Milligan, 14571 Danborough Road, Tustin, CA 92580-8755 and by Ruth Ching, 465
W. Willamette Lane, Claremont, CA 97777, respectively.
At the request of the 2 donors, we ask that a letter of acknowledgement and appreciation of these
donations be sent to Mrs. Barbara Walters, 2509 Fontezuela Drive, Hacienda Heights, CA 91745,
in memory of her father, Mr. Bernard Schwab.
