Dear Councilman Arakaki,
As residents of ICa'u. my fellow neighbors and I would bear the unequal and grossly unfair
burden of an additional tax imposed an a gallon of•gas, We travel•erttensively to get anywhere else
on this BIG Island. To get to either airport, to eorttmute to jabs, to visit friends and family, to support
our local school teams, to go to gyms, and to do just about any activity, we get in our vehicles and
use gas by the gallons!
Please do not add to our already expensive lives by making gas more expensive than it
already is.
An altemativc would be to assess everybody equally by adding a fee onto the annual
registration. This way every Hig Islander pays a fair share.
