COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1'78 0~# <br /> RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 37-03 BY INCREASING THE <br /> <br /> SQUARE FOOTAGE OF OFFICE SPACE IN THE KONA DRIVER LICENSE <br /> <br /> SECTION'S MULTI-YEAR LEASE <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution No. 37-03 was adopted by the Council of the County of Hawaii on <br /> February 20, 2003; and <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution No. 37-03 authorized the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and <br /> more than one fiscal year for the multi-year lease of office space for the Hawaii County Police <br /> Department's Kona Driver License Section at 75-5722 Hanama Place, Kailua-Kona; and <br /> WHEREAS, at the time the request for space was made and when the Resolution was <br /> adopted, it was estimated that 2,000 square feet was sufficient; and <br /> WHEREAS, after working with the architect on the functions of the Driver License Section, in <br /> relation to the proposed layout of the office, it was determined that an additional 622 square feet of <br /> space is needed; and <br /> WHEREAS, while the terms and conditions of the original lease remains the same, the owner <br /> is now represented by Inoue Hawaii Realty Corporation; and <br /> WHEREAS, the total office space to be leased at 75-5722 Hanama Place will now be for 2,622 <br /> square feet at an approximate cost of $6,009 per month, replacing the original amounts of 2,000 <br /> square feet and $4,584 per month, respectively; and <br /> WHEREAS, the approximate cost of $6,009 includes the common area maintenance, <br /> electricity, and taxes. <br /> <br />
